What is all this talk about lanyap?

Lanyap is the phonetic spelling of the Cajun word lagniappe, which means "a little something extra". It’s like getting a sweet bonus dessert that a restaurant includes with your meal. It’s "something given or obtained gratuitously or by way of good measure", in other words, it’s an extra gift! 

God has given us tremendous Lanyap in the gift of the Holy Spirit!

When we receive Him and learn to identify and follow His leading, we live a life of overflow from this gift. We all experience painful circumstances in this life but we no longer have to function from the place of hurt and emptiness or settle for less than what God has for us.

The Lanyap Life isn’t just doing the necessary; it is experiencing the comfort, peace, joy—and all the extras that God has gifted to us.

If you are alive and breathing, then the aspect of living is already underway. But consider this:

While Lee isn’t on every page of this site, it is he who enabled, pushed, and cheered Tami on to learn to build a website, format books and publish. He supported her in every way, including supplying all the techy stuff that he thought she needed, which was a lot since he was an IT guy who loved it ALL. Lee taught her the word lagniappe and they lived faith out together with this extra gift ever-present and available in their lives. Tami considers her time with Lee to be a bonus gift from God.
