Feeling Lost in Life
Do you ever feel lost? It’s easy to get turned around in life. Sometimes we get jostled about, so much so, that we lose our equilibrium and sense of direction. Life is just like that sometimes. But, so is any off-road adventure that’s worth the thrill of taking. Pursuing life in the Spirit is most definitely worth every white knuckle grip, clinging to the edge, holding on by a thread moment! And ALL the fear and thrills that cause us to readjust and find our footing in Christ again and again is an important part of the journey.
I sat down to write, without an agenda, only knowing I was supposed to open my laptop and put myself in the position to do so. As I began to type, the Lord gave me the picture of a person hiking in the forest. He looked to be out for a day hike, loaded down with his backpack and all his gear. He looked to be deep in the forest, following a path that had just split into multiple trails. Standing at the crosspoint, He wasn’t sure which way to go. So he just stood there, sort of paralyzed and disorientated. He had lost his bearings and wasn’t even sure which way He had come. That’s when I heard the Lord narrate to me, “This is where many of you are right now—lost in life. And to find your way again, you will have to stop and do the same two things this person, who is lost in the forest, has to do.” With that, I started to write.
I have to run outside and pick the cherries off my two cherry bushes now. But I’ll stop back by soon, and share a little more about the 2 important things we must do to find our way again.
Do you want to guess what they are? Until then, may you each find your way!
